Our Mission
The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental and social health for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. To this end, the members of the Academy dedicate their efforts and resources.
Drowning Awareness Month
Governor Deval Patrick has proclaimed May to be Drowning Awareness Month, thanks to the efforts of Nadina Riggsbee, a spokesperson whose children were affected. Ms. Riggsbee's Drowning Prevention Foundation is mentioned in Governor Patrick's proclamation.
