The MCAAP Immunization Initiative is pleased to announce the Pediatric Immunization Update Webinar Series, developed in collaboration with Baystate Health System. The goal of the webinar series is to improve child and adolescent immunization rates in Massachusetts.

Webinar Objectives:
By participating in this continuing education program, the attendee should be able to:
- Identify changes to the 2013 Childhood Immunization Schedule;
- Explain why the epidemiology of pertussis is changing;
- Discuss new recommendations for use of Tdap vaccines;
- Describe the latest MDPH information about vaccine availability and shortages, as well as programmatic changes.
Target Audience:
The target audience includes healthcare professionals who provide immunizations to children and adolescents in Massachusetts, including Chapter members (pediatricians) and family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants, public health workers, and office staff who work in pediatric health care settings.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
NURSES
Baystate Health is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses, Inc, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This actvitiy carries a maximum of 1 contact hours.
The webinar is free and will last one hour. Pre-registration is required to obtain continuing education credits.

The MCAAP Immunization Initiative offers Grand Rounds seminars on pediatric immunization in all Massachusetts hospitals, and some health centers or large practices. The attendees receive handouts that include the most current immunization information. CME credits are awarded through the host hospital.
